What We Do
The Madison County Emergency Management Agency helps to coordinate activities before, during and after emergencies through partnerships with local, state, federal and private agencies.
Before disasters, the Agency coordinates training, planning and exercises for public responders at the local and county levels.
During disasters, the Agency coordinates requests from communities for personnel, equipment and technical assistance. It also conducts damage assessments and, when appropriate, requests federal assistance.
After the emergency is stabilized, the Agency coordinates local, state, and federal programs to assist recovery for communities and individuals.

Mission Statement
The Madison County Emergency Management Agency shall coordinate and support homeland security and emergency management functions in order to protect life and property, establish sustainable communities and ensure economic opportunities for Madison County and its citizens.

Vision
The Madison County Emergency Management Agency creates and maintains simple, effective, transparent, and well-integrated emergency management programs. The Agency continually and systematically improves its programs in order to resourcefully minimize the county’s vulnerability to foreseeable emergencies.
